Oluwo: Your Uncommon Style Of Islam, Is Worthy Of Emulation

The Oluwo of Iwo, Oba (Dr.) Abdul Rasheed Adewale Akanbi has praised the Taawun Movement under the leadership of Sheikh Daood Imran Molaassn, the Grand Mufti of Yorubaland, Edo, and Delta for being a progressive Islamic Movement that works for a better and greater society.

He made this known yesterday in Iwo, at Oluwo stadium during the final football match between Adeenu Naeeha and Amin Arabic school. The match marks the end of sports activities organized by the Taawun Sports Council to mark the 30th anniversary of Jamaat Taawunil Muslimeen. Adeenu Naseeha won the cup for the Arabic school category, while Owland won the secondary school category.

Oluwo, in his address, said Taawun is an organization that values development, progress, and transformation to a better society. He also urged all Iwo indigenes to make voter’s cards a priority, and not an option.

Prince Daaod Abimbola thanked the Taawun organization for the competition, and for adding value to Islam and Muslims.
