Any Attack On Yoruba Muslims Will Be Met With Forceful Response -Grand Mufti
Sheikh Daood Imran Molaasan, the Grand Mufti of Yorubaland, Edo, and Delta has warned against the molestation (of any kind) of Muslims in Yorubaland and said such act would only exist in the past, and not any more.
He said this today while reacting to the attack on Muslims by Oro Idol worshippers in Ile Ife, Osun State.
Yesterday, Thursday, 30th March 2023, during Asri Prayer, at Ìdí Ọmọh Ilare Mosque, the traditional worshipers went ahead to attack the Muslim faithful in the mosque and destroy properties. This incident occurred during their sacrifice called “ORO”. They matcheted Imaam and the congregation of Muslims in the Mosque.
In his reaction, the Grand Mufti said, any attack on Muslims would also be met with the same attack if those concerned failed to do the needful.
He then urged all the Muslims in Yorubaland to let those affected feel their brotherly concern.
